Flip and slide the cards!

This collection contains more than 160 flashcards. Every card shows on its frontface the title and historical period of a music-related text that I —subjectively— considered historically relevant. All the collection spans from the 15th to the early 19th century and each card has been color-coded according to its date. When you will flip the card over, you will discover the author of the text and the publishing place and year (of the first edition or of the earliest surviving manuscript copy).
This little game is far from being a complete repertoire of music treatises. If you are looking for that, you should take a look to the wonderful site www.earlymusicsources.com. There you will find a link to a digital copy of most of the texts collected here. Instead, you can use this site to discover each text's author or just to improve your memory. Have fun!
